Kristin Black – Office Manager / Registered Dental Hygienist / Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

A graduate of Sinclair Community College, Kristin began her career in dentistry in 1991 as a dental hygienist. Kristin is certified to provide anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and silver diamine fluoride. She is a trained surgical assistant, orthodontic assistant, and attended EFDA school. Recently she completed her training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Kristin is a familiar face to most patients because she has been at the office for over 17 years.  She is passionate about educating people with the connection between the mouth and the whole body. It is rewarding for her to see improvements in all clinical care for her patients, to brighten a patient’s day, and leave them with a beautiful smile.

Gail Davis – Certified Dental Assistant

Gail Davis is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry Auxiliary and has been a dental assistant since 1982. She is certified through the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc and licensed through the Ohio State Dental Board for Dental Assistants Radiographers. She is certified to coronal polish and monitor nitrous oxide. Gail is also included in the first group of oral health professionals to earn certification in Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC). Gail is responsible for running the practice’s sterilization center. She enjoys creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for her patients and co-workers. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with a great team committed to advancing their skills along with providing excellent patient care.

Jill Black – Financial / Insurance Coordinator

Jill has worked in dentistry for over 40 years and for the past 9 years she serves as Preferred Family Dental’s Financial/Insurance Coordinator. She has experience in all aspects of the dental field, from assisting to specializing in insurance/billing. Jill’s goal is to help patients maximize the benefits provided by their insurance companies while achieving their general and cosmetic dentistry goals. Outside of dentistry, she loves to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Autumn

Autumn started her dental career in 2017, graduating from DATS. She finds satisfaction in making patients feel comfortable and achieving their ideal smile.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and her dog Thunder.

Kiley

After 15 years working in the medical field in an office and as an EMS provider, Kiley decided it was time for a change of scenery. She transitioned into dentistry. Kiley is very conscientious and creative. She likes helping people find a financing option to achieve the smile they want to have! You will hear her friendly voice on the phone or in the office and know that she genuinely cares about people. In her spare time you can find her at the ice rink, on the football/basketball sidelines coaching/cheering on her school or serving her community in many other capacities.

Bobbi

Bobbi has been a dental hygienist for five years after graduating from Rhodes State College in 2017. Her favorite part of working in the dental field is continuously learning so that patients receive excellent care, as well as building relationships with patients. She will be graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in business and marketing in August of 2022. She is engaged with two (almost) stepsons and two goldendoodles. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and walking her dogs.

Erica

Erica has been in the dental field for 8 years starting as a dental assistant then graduating from Rhodes State College in 2018 as a dental hygienist. She loves educating her patients about their oral and overall health. She is married with one daughter and two dogs. She loves being outdoors in the summertime and spending time with family.

Erica Layne

Erica is a high school graduate of Patterson Career Center where she studied dental. Later, she moved on to DATS in 2015 where she completed her schooling and became a trained dental assistant. Has now been working as a Patient Care coordinator for the last 7 years and has truly found joy in helping people gain knowledge in maintaining a healthy smile. She has recently started her entrepreneurial journey.  She has a certification in teeth whitening. Simply Pearls Whitening & Gems LLC is the name of her small business. Erica is also a mother of 2 young men ages 19/21. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, making memories and whitening smiles.

Brooke Whitacre

Brooke is a friendly face at the front desk that has great people skills and is a great communicator. She is dedicated to helping patients with their dental and orthodontic treatments from making them feel comfortable, scheduling appointments, confirming insurance, and helping with financial options. After working in the medical field as a biller and an EMS Operations Manager she finds dentistry refreshing and rewarding. In her spare time you can find her at her kids sporting events, relaxing at the lake, or spending time with family and friends.

Patty Wilt

Following in my father’s footsteps, I became a hygienist. I enjoy being able to help each valued patient overcome their dental fears and anxieties. Using a comfortable and compassionate approach, treating them like family helping them reach their optimal oral health.

I make every effort to stay on top of current developments in dentistry and enhance my skills. I work as a hygienist and have been a dental hygiene instructor but I am most happy building relationships with my clients and becoming friends. I still have the first person I work on as a patient. My father taught me well. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I finally have a grandson and I could spend hours with him. He is such a happy baby. I also like to do crafts and sew. Photography is another interest but I do not spend much time doing it.
